Scientist observe a Graneledone octopus on the seafloor during the Lophelia II 2009 Expedition. Graneledones are a widely distributed genus of octopuses in the family Octopodidae found in the Pacific and Atlantic and are also typically discovered in deep waters, around 2,000 meters or 6,500 feet.
