Dr. Clayborne Carson, Director of the Martin Luther King, Jr. Research and Education Institute, was interviewed by two students taking part in an oral history project. The project, Journeys of Reconciliation, focused on the history of race and justice in the United States and South Africa. This series of interviews includes activists from both countries, and is designed to engage students in a healthy dialogue on how this history was lived and its impact on us today.
