After about 1 year of research, reading and talking with other growers, I finally decided to put the knowledge to work and built my first cloner. The goal with everything I am doing is to find better ways to be sustainable, good for the planet, and ultimately have some fun and eat some great raw foods! Please excuse the horrible quality, still need to get a better recorder :)

  • nice box dude, just a few errors though, airstones aere used when totaly submerged, the idea of sprinkler bar is cause their suspended in the air, also airstones act as a sponge for pathogens like root rot etc, they also dont add oxygen t the water liek many think, the oxygen process is done on the disruption of the water cirface, fuming is better have a read on it

  • @droppedhost1 great info, thanks. I had thought about the air stones and being a perfect place for things to grow...

  • can i buy one from you.write me back

  • @RiveraBaberShop at this point, no, but it's easy to build, parts are cheap, and you can do some youtubing on how to do plumping to get your practicing before trying to build something :)

  • at 3:27 you said you'll shoot a video of the other ones you've built, looks like that hasn't happened yet. I saw the Sure To Grow vid too and am already collecting the parts for this. I like your manifold design with the valves on the end to regulate the pressure. I'm trying to think of a way to make the height of the manifold with adjustable legs or something like that. Have you improved this manifold design at all? Please let us know and shoot some more vids!! thanks!

  • @fetymann real life has gotten in the way, I was hit by a car, and am unable to do this stuff right now... But, when I can work on this stuff again, I will be doing larger scale systems. What I am doing is working on designs to turn out kitchen into a hanging hydro garden :) When I can, I will post some drawings of what we are planning to do in our kitchen =D

  • @paityn1982

use an Aquarium Heater with thermostat. You can get them cheap of ebay f. ex.

  • Very nice setup, but I think I would put a main valve cutoff on the outside! What say you?

  • what kind of success have you had with your clones?

  • I have the same box, and get 100% everytime. Try painting the lid black.

  • I built one similar to this and had horrible luck with it. I had a hard time keeping the water temp low or else the clones would get stem rot. I kept it disinfected and used anti microbial but it still got the rot every time. I finally put it on a timer for 15min on/ 15min off. I only got 50% success ,which was better than my last 2 tries, but the roots that did pop exploded. Btw your manifold is too big or your pump is too small. That or your misters are clogged.

  • @monteros Awesome, hope you heal soon.
