Hi #UN#
Love any ballroom/partner dancing. Check my channel MyRuidoso for my Pearl jam Nightclub Two Step. Thanks

@jayziac thank you!

So, tell me that those two don't have any soul in their dancing, that they have fake overexpressions, and that they have no connection with each other but only indulge in themself.
-
For example, most men in this video can always tell when in connection where the partner's weight is on the feet. Don't ever think you know anything about international latin (or standard for that matter) when you've barely scraped the tip of the iceberg yourself. Ironicly, the knowledge you've displayed is similiar. Only tip of the iceberg.

Went back to your comments on this video. I got from:
"First of all don't tell me that I don't know anything about these forms of dance."
to:
"it has nothing to do with the relationship between two, only the self indulgence and gratification of one."
My irony meter exploded. As I stated earlier, you understand absolutely nothing of international latin. You see sharp arm movements and overexpression, but miss the underlaying mechanics of movement and connection.

An example using your own material:

The first bar of music is basicly a back rock with a forward lock (except you take the steps next to each other rather than locking the back leg in a back cross). At least that's what we call it. Compare to:

Though Sergey doesn't actually take a back step, but rather does a back rock action from a lunge.
These executions are far apart but you can see the similiarity, or not?
-
It's so far apart because it has developed. When you introduce adance style to a competitive enviroment it will evolve and develop. Especially in the duration of half a century. I've looked at videos of samba de gafieira couples dancing and I could distinguish six or so figures they did that were in timing and steps the same as what we do in international latin, but the execution is largely different. It wasn't that different two or three decades ago.

@AceyBlade Isn't the point of competitive dance to show how COMPETENT one is in that form of dance. If the "whole way of moving is so FAR APART" from the dance form's origin then how competent is a International Competetive Latin dancer in LATIN dance? While the dancers are great dancers in their own right, the style is a debauchery of the origins of Latin dance. If you want specifics go back and read my previous posts. It's all there in black and white.
dancers have the best bodies... lean while tight and toned...
