To top it off, the band's visualist performs tightly integrated 'live' visuals designed in direct tandem with the music (this ain't your mother's VJ)...

Originating from Karl Denson's Tiny Universe, these virtuoso's have played venues around the world from the Fillmore in San Francisco to Madison Square Garden and the Blue Note in Tokyo. BLUSIRKUT blew the other two local bands away & were fantastic. A new kind of world funktronica that I found far superior to most of the organic techno (eg. zilla/disco biscuits/the duo). BLUSIRKUT played some updated sweet acid jazz with world flavors. It was great to see the guys in their own vehicle! -Upstream Entertainment

Even this thumpy bass (with flat wound strings I'd say) comes alive in the hands of the master. This clip always makes me smile!

Looks a little like the "Gibson Les Paul Money" bass. Same body shape (almost) as a Les Paul DC, 2 cutaways

but this one has a tune-o-matic style bridge, like on the guitars

don't think this is a gibson.
