Nina Simone recorded it (with different lyrics) under the name See-Line Woman. It seems to be one of those old traditional songs where no one knows who "wrote" it or what its really called.

This musical performance of See Line Woman is not the most interesting but Nina Simone looks well, less tired than in her other backward concerts.
