@2hyeok This? Impossible? Sorry, no. So much harder music has been written by Alkan's peers and by Alkan himself, as well as more modern composers.

@amxmachine yes i actually play till the quavers till the middle the arpeggios working on it though :)

@2hyeok not to mention this piece doesnt even scratch the surface of le preux's suggested tempo by Alkan. His concerto mov. 3 is significantly harder too

i am guessing alkan is an expreimental type basicalyy making almost impossible pieces while chopin and liszt actually make it possible

Esquisse No. 36 by Charles-Valentin Alkan is indeed a very fast piece, some parts of which both hands need to be quick in playing the notes. Only I can say that it has a bit of a capriccio touch blended into the piece's music, that's all ...
