How can anyone be so talented and spread such joy? His videos are helping me cope with a shattered heart. I hope he knows how much his music is blessing me through a terribly dark time in my life.

@HeartyMs I started with the emotional side too. I was 7 when I got saved so there wasn't much reason or logic anywhere at that age.. lol It wasn't until high school that I had doubts because I learned history and found out how many religions there were. Still, I didn't DARE actually admit to myself until about 25 years old that I no longer believed, but one day I just came right out and said it. It was weird at first, like I let down an old friend but after awhile I felt a great weight off me.

@HeartyMs I would but it's hard for 2 people to debate whose minds are made up already. I guess the only reason to debate would be to find out why we believe what we do as opposed to who's right or wrong.
i feel I have very good reasons for not believing as I have seen both angles first hand. I'm not an atheist because I want to be, or because it's easy, on the contrary it's very difficult at times because of stereotypes. I am an atheist because everything I see points that way, so I accept it.

@HeartyMs Yeah we see how that worked out for the people of Babel now didn't we....

@HeartyMs No sorry Trampled Underfoot is probably Led Zeppelin's worst song.

@HeartyMs You say faith is being sure of what God has clearly revealed. You say I haven't experienced it. OK. You don't see the contradiction? If God clearly revealed ANYTHING you wouldn't need faith. Faith is believing something which cannot be shown. Obviously God hasn't CLEARLY revealed anything that's why you need faith.
I was a born again Christian up until my mid twenties. What changed? I read the bible. I read it from start to finish. When I was done, I was an atheist. You should try it.

@HeartyMs I love how you think you know me. Remember, I don't claim to know the reason for existence, you do. I don't claim to know the mind of God, you do. I don't claim to know what happens when I die, you do.
I don't think we are above any of the animals except in intelligence, you do. I don't think that this whole world was put here just 4 us, you do. I don't think there is a special place for me when I die where none of the other animals get to go, YOU DO. Conceited? ME? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
I know I sound like an Idiot , but he reminds me of king David and Jesus.. Just a little bit (even though I've seen neither of them)

@anoneuse Honestly, I don't know how the universe started. But what makes us so sure the universe HAD a beginning? If the universe had no beginning, then we are wasting our time trying to come up with any theory that explains the "start" of it all. IMHO, the big bang leaves me quite unsatisfied. I hate to bum you out, but it seems that that's the best we've got. If you're new to this, Cosmos is the best series to start out with. Carl Sagan is the man. There're 13 episodes, user friendly inspires
