She and I had this one weird inside joke. It started in math, when we found out that the name of the square root symbol is surd. I don't know why exactly we found this so funny, but somehow we did. So Whenever we saw each other, one of us would always say "Hey Gareth/Chloë (depending on who started it)! Guess what!" Then the other would say "What?" This would be followed by the one who started the conversation saying "Surd!" After this, we would just break into laughter.
