Shaky cos shot and cut on my phone! From http://twittervlog.tv - At 6.53 this evening, there was a flashmob at Victoria Station in London. If you don't know, the idea of a flash mob is that everyone gathers, and at the appointed time, starts doing something together. In this case, dancing to the music in their headphones. A silent rave. These used to be small things, with a few dozen people quietly dancing while the commuters looked on in confusion. Not any more.

Were you there? It was pretty wild.

  • fantastic - but what about doing this for political reasons - peterloo, the chartists etc...

  • Yeah - I believe there's going to be another one next Tuesday 18th November outside the Bank of England at 6.20 which will be slightly more (but not very) political

  • looks like funn, but the quality sucks.

  • yeah, it was shot and cut on a cellphone. but YouTube made the quality even suckier. doesn't look quite so bad on my own videoblog.

  • it'd be better if everyone got naked!

  • I can remember a flash mob that "attacked" people that came ouf of a supermarket and started to photograph that specific person like he was a VIP or something, brilliant.

This is what the world needs today I think, it's something so positive that i'm frightened that governments will try to ban this because of "state-risks" (the ever heared excuse called "terrorism" ...)

I've never experienced a flash mob, but I would love to participate in one :)

  • I think part of the beauty of it is that it isn't for anything. Its just for fun! So everyone can be a part of it and enjoy.

  • thats brilliant! we tried to hold one in glasgow central station, but the police caught on, and they weren't letting anyone into the station (except people who were obviously going for trains etc) was a bit of a bummer :(

  • as funi as i think flashmobs are, i reckon the improveverwhere missions r better cos the public arent expectin it. counting down to spontaneity kinda takes the fun out

  • When's the next one in London?

  • haha i was totally there!

  • silent = no MUSIC ... God...

  • THATS REALLY COOOOOL!
