@Glinkaism1 The fact that's it's completely out of character is precisley WHY it's a great line, don't you see? Here is a man who hates EVERYBODY in the world, he finds fault with every living soul on the face of the planet, not got a good word to say about any of them, then he meets this woman who he sees no fault with at all. Usually Rom-Coms are made about women FOR women but here is one for us!!

"You make me a better man" is a totally bullshit line, completely out of character. Reminds me of a similar line by Dustin Hoffman in "Tootsie." Some wussy director's directors influence.

@apollowoman I was in love once, many years ago. It really makes you feel that you want to be a better man, not because you feel insecure, but because the person you love, who you see as perfect, inspires you to strive for perfection. You want to offer the best of yourself to him or her. To this date, all my accomplishments have been due to that one person and the very short time I was with her.
Life is a blessing.
