@mmstormbane It's true that at the time when this clip was shot he was so fucked up that it was affecting his voice but you should check out deadhead and storm that were shot at the same time. He sings pretty damn well on those :)

If he wanted it to go mainstream and sellout why release it on his own independant label? He made the album "Cooked on Phonics" talking about bands changing their sound for money. He never did that, he has projects for different things and keeps projects as they are. See Steven Wilson from Porcupine Tree.
