Hi I'm in high school and I have a jetta 1.8t with an apr 93 chip... I'm goin to race this nigger with a charger 3.5l.. He thinks my car is a shorty economy car. I really want to smoke this dude. I was wondering... When I am going to to a "drag" race with him, should I turn the ESP off? Thanks

it doesnt really really matter if you know how to launch.

turn it off anyways, because if the tires spin a little too much and the esp kicks in, its like hitting the brakes haha.

i dont just dump the clutch, i launch it hard, but i'm not full throttle either until part way through 1st.

first of all, a stock 1.8t does not rev to 6900 rpm

second of all, look at my other vid, stock 1.8t's dont do 240 kph

to "chip" it is basically to reprogram the stock ECU with a more aggressive program. changing fuel, ignition and boost levels for a good power increase.

check out Revo chips. they are great, very happy with mine after switching from APR
