Richard, I am glad I uploaded this video because your two long comments are showing you need some "stuff" to get out of being bored!

Excelente interpretación "In dulci jubilo". (Carols from King 2001).

Mike Oldfield's version is much better and is, in my oh so humble opinion, INTERESTING, STILL, after 36 years. IT STANDS THE TEST OF TIME which this version does not. This is why people only go to church to wed, celebrate funerals and attend Midnight Mass, DRUNK!!! I remain SOBOR, however and still know how boring music is to learn but I am a pretty good composer, pianist and all'round musique'lover but am, as a person, pretty reasonably BORING, TOO!! I maketh no bones about this ultimate truth!

boring. I was going to be a chorister at York Minster Song School in 1977 if I'd failed my 11 plus test which I did, thanks God, not fail. I therefore attended Nunthorpe Grammar School for Boys, like Vincent Cable also had done, and was banned from entering the sixth form because I was, by 1982, UTTERLY BORED and the powers that be thought, in their "infinite wisdom", that I must therefore be "on drugs" which I was, in fact, NOT! I was, and still am, at 46, UTTERLY BORED. STILL!!!

Thanks for posting this lovely video. Of course, I absolutely adore this hymn, its tune and words and the effect it has on people who even hear it, but especially on those who sing it. We seem to feel or sense something ineffable and supernatural as we join together in this divine song. May God bless everyone involved in bringing this to all of us on-line.
