I went to Humana Society of Broward County,FL on 04/29/09.She had sad story. My hart broken.
An animal protection group rescued her 12 years ago from a man who kept her in a barbecue grill. But they couldn't keep her because she had beak and feather disease an auto immune disease that can cause skin lesions, feather loss and sometimes fatal infections. The desease had already depleted her of feathers on her chest. Sh
e was given six months to live. But, she has beaten the odds, despite the disease that has taken almost all of her feathers over the years excpt atop her head.
