Wait so if you have the hdd in the dock, and the dock is not plugged into AC power, you have to use 2 usb ports to use the hdd? Even though when the hdd is not in the dock it only needs 1 usb...?

Can anyone answer this questions for me please. Is this product good for transferring files from my laptop to my PS3 ( Vice Versa ). And is this product a good location for backups for my laptop and PS3?? Please let me know, Thank You
