@lenewa - I've got one from Boomtown. I did an acid test on the outer ring and it came up green; which means it isn't silver. Obviously it wouldn't register as silver as it has a gold coating, but the acid didn't burn through the coating to reveal any silver underneath. It stayed gold coloured. I have since seen one on Ebay and the seller states the outer ring is brass. I tend to go along with this seeming as it stayed gold after the acid test, so pure brass.
Not 100% sure, so is anyone else?

i have three of these, all won from slots from 1995 to 2000. they came out of the slots in the plastic cases you have so they are original. I have an Aladdin won in 95 from the old hotel before it was destroyed. Also a Mccaron token with 7 11 dice on the back as well as a Millenium Reno flamingo token. I am interested in finding out if the whole thing is .999 silver or just the center, one is stamped in the center and two say .999 fine silver on the outer ring.
