hi, back to revisit this remarkable video
cynical view notwithstanding there's another way to see this. the father in the story seems to understand his own sacrifice and fully accept it, he can even joke about it the son understands & appreciates what his father forfeits to provide so wonderfully for the family.
like many people with families like his, Badrinarayan Prabhu has realised their material gains were not the be all & end all
the love expressed in this family shines through his story

dad's work created a seaside sanctuary for the dog, the mom and the youngsters. it used to work like that. the family and its yummy pie and nice pets sustained by the father's self sacrifice. now things are such that most americans can never aspire to the beach house, most parents won't get or stay married, most adults are apathetic wage slaves who barely have time for children if they have any and most kids starved for love, trying to find it on sale at the mall, or in crowded, noisy clubs
