There's so many ways of adjusting. If you keep going light, you can slow it down, move to a stronger ball, rev it harder, or move out. If you go high, you can throw it faster, use a less aggressive ball, take out some revs, or move in. Its a matter of what is better for you. Reading lanes is the most exciting part in bowling.

my thumb do not come out of the ball clean. It gets caught very often, so i don't get a different delivery every time. help. Paul

I just learned this bowling in my weekly league two days ago. How to adjust to the lanes with speed rather then repeatedly changing my line.
