@jaeone6010 @PbNAphasia How about if from now on I refer to 'cat piss' as 'feline liquid disposal"? Would that make everyone happy? :) To tell the truth, I had never even heard the term 'cat piss' applied to beer until a BJCP Master level Judge (backed up by a BJCP Grand Master III level Judge) gave me a beer and described it to me. Ever since then, I've used the term 'cat piss' to describe that particular aroma/flavor profile.

@jaeone6010 You obviously haven't tried this beer. Because it actually has an astringent quality to the nose.

@jaeone6010 'cat piss' is often used to describe a piney/resinous hop flavor and/or aroma that usually is associated with Simcoe hops - not a negative association with actual cat piss. Thanks for watching!
I have judged beer before and can tell you that you might want to learn some other terms to use in describing beer other than constantly referring to cat piss. No other judge I have ran into has ever really referred to a smell as cat piss. How about orange rind or zest, some mango, pineapple, and maybe a little passion fruit followed by a little biscuit malt flavor. It takes time to learn how to best describe something but using cat piss constantly as a description is not a good way to describe.

@allenstu Point well taken. Maybe I should take some time to see what mango and passion fruit smell and taste like. I didn't get orange/citrus or pineapple out of this beer, but the others could very well be great descriptors that I'm just not familiar with. Still a fantastic beer though. Thanks for watching!
