  • @TheBeardedworrior this is an absolute classic - the sequels were not very good shall we say - but this was original - and it has influenced alot of films / computer games since. directed by a then 23 yr old don cascerrelli. watched this when i about 8 years old - shat my pants.

  • What a horror !!! he is making sweet love to a babe, then she turns into the Tall Man !!!

That alone would kill Me deader than a post, to think I enjoyed having sex with an ugly old gay guy.

  • the grandmother looks exactly like ozzy

  • oh shit, did she turn into a dude?

  • When I was a kid my brother would watch the phantasm films and he would let me watch them with him. I still remember a nightmare I had about the flying orbs.

  • Oh no! That was terrifying! The hot chick became an old man! I would be begging for the knife in the chest after that....

  • This movie gave me nightmares but I loved it!!

  • I can't believe I just found this on youtube!

  • This film's got an amazing atmosphere!!!! It is still banned in Germany...

  • holy shit! one of the first horror movies i watched when i was a kid!!! :)

  • @TheBeardedworrior absolute classic film - no one seems to make films like this anymore - original storyline - decent cast - right score (music) etc etc - have mentioned this before but the director was only 23 at the time - don't know many directors in the history of film who have directed film at such a relatively young age.

  • a few useless facts about this film - the tall man was played by a guy called Angus Scrimm - was fairly tall - 6'2.5 - he wore shoes with a massive heal and shirt / trousers / jacket that were all one size too small to make him "appear" taller. But yeah a classic horror from the 70's.
