Blood Moon Productions announces the immediate availability of the second of what is now a PAIR OF DOCUMENTARIES AND INFO-MERCIALS it filmed at two separate instances of the world's largest literary trade fair, Book Expo America.

Blood Moon's View from the Floor, Installments #1 and #2, represent history's first attempts to capture—close, in-your-face, uncensored, and personalized—the interactions, alliances, scandals, and dramas that explode for a small book publisher during bookselling mega-events devoted to the marketing, pricing, and sale of its literary products.

Conceived as a means of increasing public awareness of Blood Moon's literary products, these films were developed as publicity and promotion pieces by the company's founder and president, Danforth Prince. "Book publishers operate in a state of barely controlled hysteria, especially in this economic climate," he said. "Within these films, we've captured some of the drama of how books are promoted and hawked at highly competitive events where everyone from Barbra Streisand to the Duchess of York will enthusiastically shake his or her bon-bon to sell something."

"At BEA, enemies, competitors, and authors evoke Oscar night in Hollywood before the awards are announced," Prince continued. "These films are the first attempt to depict, without charge, on video, how a small press swims in the frantic, shark-infested waters of the book trade. They document specific moments in America's mercantile history, with implications for America's reading habits and how consumers will opt to amuse and entertain themselves in the 21st century."

During the footage he shot from within and near his booths at BEA 2010 and 2011, Mr. Prince was directed by Polish-born PIOTR KAJSTURA, winner of several filmmaking awards and grants for his work with, among others, the Tourism board of South Carolina.

Both films are available now, electronically and without charge, on YouTube.com, Vimeo.com, and (coming soon) directly from the home page of BloodMoonProductions.com. IF YOU HAVE EITHER DREAMS OR NIGHTMARES about maneuvering your way through the shark-infested waters of the book trades, YOU REALLY SHOULD SEE THESE FILMS.

What Book-Industry Critics Said About the 2010 Installment of this Film:

"Blood Moon Productions, which specializes in books about Hollywood celebrity scandals of the past—many of which were hushed up at the time—offers a feature-length video on BookExpo America 2010, which aims to give "nonprofessional book people an insight into book fairs" while highlighting some Blood Moon titles. The narrator is Blood Moon president Danforth Prince, who interviews, among others, Carole Stuart of Barricade Books, Philip Rafshoon, owner of Outwrite Bookstore and Coffeehouse, Atlanta, Ga., Graeme Aitkin of the Bookshop in Sydney, Australia, Eugene Schwartz of ForeWord Reviews, and a what seems like half of the staff of National Book Network, Blood Moon's distributor."
