this is a dangerous condition mostly aflicting men, so watch out when taking a piss in the night guys, just sit down and you can avoid being aflicted by this anomaly of the human body.

  • Thanks mate,very useful.

Had this very thing happen last night. It scared the be-jesus out of me ,wife called ambulance, thought i was a gon`er.

You explain it a lot better than the doc!!

  • Great comments, everyone. I think many, many people have had this sensation whilst peeing. I don't understand why there's so many dislikes, but whatever.

  • Just happened to me after waking up with morning wood...

I was trying extremely hard to empty my bladder when suddenly, I felt as though all the blood in my head fell down into my body, then started losing my hearing and very nearly fainted.

  • I must add that the sympathetic division helps to prevent urination whilst the parasympathetic causes urination.

  • ...Many people subconsciously associate the act of Micturition with falling from a great height in darkness, including, most notably, the playwright Gregory Kotis.

  • Absolutely! You see, when you need to urinate you are in a state of tension (even at rest) and your autonomic nervous system activates parts of its sympathetic division. When you urinate, it switches to the parasympathetic division: it calms and mesmerizes you. Your heart stops racing and your blood flows more slowly through your veins. As you say, not sufficient oxygen is conveyed via that ever-running crimson stream to your brain, so you succumb to a treacherous fall.

  • My doctor thinks I have this I have never actualy pased out from it bit I have gotten dizzy so I was smart enought to lay down but if I didn't lay down she said I probily would have passed out It took her about 6 months for her to find out what it was cuz I had more then one symptom

  • around new years eve day, I had just woke up and i went to the bathroom and I almost passed out...got dizzy and everything went black...luckily my dad's a doctor so he told me what to do (put legs up and lay down). I felt better after.

  • So true, this happened to me on the 23rd December 2009 whilst having a break in my house in Spain.

Absolute shock, 3.30 am, got up to go for a pee, emptied my bladder fell face down on the edge of the toilet seat and my lower teeth came right through my bottom lip. Bloody painful but could have been worse.

All males who watch this video should take notice of this guy.

10 out of 10 pal, John.
