@pacificdrumma I got an ST-12 (12hp single Tecumseh) and I routinely mow in high second, works very well! I even get into third sometimes.

Is that High Second? You mow way faster than I do! MAybe i need to change my technique! I should have some Gator blade action this week!! did you do two passes at different heights?
