Evanston, IL, recently passed a green building ordinance requiring LEED Silver certification for new commercial construction exceeding 10,000 feet. The move makes the Chicago suburb part of a growing number of United States municipalities mandating green building standards for both privately and publicly funded construction.

To help you understand the process, Jean Dufresne, Principal at SPACE Architects + Planners, explains how his team planned LEED certification for the Logan Square Kitchen in Chicago, owned by Zina and Nick Murray.

  • Jean did an amazing job designing the Logan Square Kitchen, LEED Gold shared commerical kitchen and event space at 2333 N. Milwaukee Ave. in Chicago's Logan Square neighborhood.
