'Good folk music has an unmistakable post-Gregorian swagger that Nirvana fans admired but could never truly embrace. That is not to say that Danny Holmes' music lacks spiritual edge. Nay, in the early 90's with the emergence of the alternative rock scene, Kurt Loder's 'news' segments, and the short-lived TV show The State, young camp-going Americans everywhere sought something past their school time MTV roots. Danny Holmes filled that void; He was our Clapton. In homage to days gone by, Danny recently picked up his six strings -- possibly for the last time -- and strummed his way into history. This sweet recording (feature the not-so-soulful sounds of Mole Shapiro's impromptu backup vocals and the unsteady grip of 1991 Barry Ashbee recipient Michael Bronstein) from Camp Kweebec's reunion weekend references the gentle twilight of our youth. For that, we solute Mr. Holmes and beg him for one more encore.'
Cool, Another Danny Holmes Video. If anyone else has any, please post em...
