2010 VFW Voice of Democracy Winner

Madison Mullen delivers her first place essay in this year's VFW Voice of Democracy scholarship competition.

Created in 1947, the Voice of Democracy (VOD) scholarship program is an audio-essay contest for high school students in grades 9-12 that annually provides more than $3 million in scholarships. The first-place winner, who competes with all the first-place VFW Department winners, receives a $30,000 scholarship that is paid directly to the recipients American university, college or vocational/technical school.

Well Michael Jackson was a hero in my eyes. He was forced to sacrifice his childhood for his career. He won numerous awards for his humanitarian endeavors, and was honoured by two Presidents of the United States. Jordan Chandler admitted to LYING about those molestation charges - nothing ever happened! Michael was committed to protecting and nurturing the innocence of children. His sensitivity is reflected in his songs - he inspires others to make the world a better place. <3 MJ

@imprettymuchamazing just look at the fox news article i posted (or google his name and you will find it) the article, posted before the speach, holds the exact thesis she puts forward...they even relate this mans death to Michel Jackson. It is abundantly clear that she simply rehashed the words of this article or another just like it. this idea is the creation of Bradshaw's relatives, not Madison Mullen.
