Great video! The next to last song is a favorite of mine known as 'Trade Winds'. I have it on a 78 by Bing Crosby. Dorothy Lamour sure was a piece of work.
She was never classically beautiful. But she knew just how powerful those gorgeous eyes were, those beautiful cheeks, the beautiful chin line and the unusual nose. And she knew she didn't look like anyone else. Add to that a gorgeous and distinctive singing voice, a flair for both comedy and drama and she packed a punch. The body of course is self-explanatory.
The former Miss New Orleans (1931), she had a very exotic look in early Hollywood. She was one of Hollywood's first great comic & dramatic actresses. Truly beautiful both inside & out!
Congrats on another one of your outstanding Tributes!
