The original NASA public feed has a "hiccup" (a frozen frame) for half a second or so about 17 seconds into flight. It was painfully obvious on all the TV news coverage the next morning. This author has chosen to black that out -- a visual improvement for sure. If you check some of the other STS-126 launch replays here on YouTube which are derived from the NASA TV broadcast (not the individual camera NASA replays), you can clearly see the problem.

Why is this the only copy on youtube without the encoding hicup at 00:17? But... this one has a watermark. Annoying. Someone please upload the nasa feed without the encoding hicup.

this WAS AWSOME IT WAS A PITY I WASN'T WATCHING IT THERE I WAS WATCHING IT ON THE INTERNET also it was in the dark so you could clearly see the flames
this guy ran past when it was live nad he was wering white and he was very easily reconised
