We do that with single homes all the time. We frame our first floor. Build the roof In two sections On that floor, 2x10`s for `pick points. Sheet and split apart. Land them beside the house Until your done standing and straightening your top floor.
Where are your pick points.

The largest sets i personally have set was 78' wide trusses and i set 50' sections of it at a time. I did it on a pretty flat area but if you have any questions call me @ 302-632-1363

lol this isnt a new patent pending system. we did this for all the barns i worked on. just assemble a whole bunch on the ground. put the webs in them all, strap the roofs and put the fascia on if you really want to. just doing that its sturdy enough to be lifted onto the walls. this is how you start out a line of trusses to ensure they are all straight and have enough support to but each single truss into. try doing this for a 650 foot chicken barn... wont happen if you build it all at once.

This video was not suppossed to be to show how to gangset trusses but to show how gangsetting trusses with my Pre-fabricated panelized system is a step up from doing it stickbuilt. These trusses were 60' wide and had no more than the panel system on top of the truss and lateral bracing running thru the trusses. There was no diagonal bracing used or X bracing of any kind used in this set. It was a 60x140x18 building.

This Panelized system that i used to gangset is "Patent Pending" and was assembled on the ground without any strings to straighten it. The building was straightened with the panel system and was put up without need for diagonal bracing of any kind. It is a much safer way to build and to those of you who are not familiar with my panelized system it is being marketed to truss factories. They build them for you after being licensed and if your truss factory is not licensed have them call me.
