BEST to watch in full screen mode. In video, you will see and hear the following values

0 knot IAS
14 Knot GPS indicated
2 Knot GS ATC reported

Based on when I panned out the window, it sure appears that the ATC was most accurate.

AI tumbled at startup. Video includes views of this in flight.

  • What were the winds when you did this? I have a plane booked for this Tuesday and I am so going out to try this. I've been slow, but never stopped. :)

  • @robertl30

Winds aloft were about 30 knots. Look forward to hearing your ride report after your Tuesday flight! :-)

  • Very nice. I just about went backwards in a 150 once. Did it take a little while for your attitude indicator to warm up?

  • @Scote1992

I think the AI is on its last leg. It tumbled upside down on startup. I guess the vibration of the flight got it to orient correctly as it did work fine once it oriented correctly.

  • Thats great, did it once as well, the whole ride was really bumpy though, until the 0IAS . IT makes you feel for a few min. like your hovering in a helicopter. What I really like on your video was the ATC- he was well surprised when he looked on his screen to see you at 2knots

  • @BeechSundowner That sounds like somebody put the airplane in a spin. I've seen them do that after someone puts them in a spin. They lose it for a while.

  • Great video. Thanks for posting!!

  • Wow and I was in madison this weekend

  • was that 2 knots on a 330 heading or 2 knots 150 heading lol

  • Giving the stall horn warning a work out! LOL! Great job Allen.... talking, filming, flying, made me smile!
