The University of Minnesota's Multicultural Center for Academic Excellence took over Ted Mann Concert Hall in their 7th annual Celebration of Achievement for Multicultural Students.
While senior students of the Multicultural Center don't officially graduate at this ceremony, they are recognized for embedding their cultural diversity within the student body. Each member receives a stole made of kente cloth, hand-woven in Ghana, to wear at their official graduation in their respective college at the University of Minnesota.
Stay tuned throughout the program to watch interviews with MCAE graduating seniors Pa Lee, Joshua Colas, Chee Meng Xiong, María Rios and Larissa Littlewolf. Dr. Josie R. Johnson, social justice activist, presents the keynote address.
