The majority of America voted for Barack Obama. Like children, Americans did not want to hear the reality that McCain was spouting, which was to continue the war in the Middle East. Instead, you wanted to hear the sugar coated words of Barack Obama stating that we will get out of Iraq within a few months of his presidency (period).
Thats all the People wanted to hear and they asked nothing more of him and voted him into office.
