Aretha Franklin just sends my rocket straight to the moon. There are many great voices i have heard over the years....but there just is no singer who can touch this lady. Just my humble opinion people.

I saw Lady Soul in London during this same tour in 1968. When she sang this song ..the hair on my neck sttod up. What a performer.

The man who wrote that there song was the one 'n' only greatest of'em all, Willie Nelson! He's still out there pickin' 'n' writin' 'n' bringin' joy, peace 'n' happiness to people all o'er the world!:)

This woman is well deserving of her title. She simply blows me away and i just can't find no other singer that has this level affect on me. She is just out of this world vocally and she tells a story when she sings. The feeling you get from her can't be imitated,it is either real or it's not. Queen of Soul no doubt about it.
