This is quite an old episode, and yet it is still very relevant to the problems with the war on drugs that the US is still "fighting" today, particularly in the light of the current economic crisis.

Also the current stats on drugs is shocking, not the least of which showing that there are more drug deaths than traffic deaths (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lzkyBb...)
and that there are more deaths from prescription drugs than from cocaine and heroin combined.

I agree marijuana should be legal, but I don't recommend smoking it. Penn and Teller have forgot an important information: smoking increase the risks of psychosis and schizophrenia. Google "Teens who smoke pot at risk for later schizophrenia, psychosis by Havard Health" for example.

You can't sue any government body for not making something illegal. Otherwise you could sue them for any harm done ever using something that is not illegal, e.g. sue government for falling down the stairs because stairs aren't illegal.

The reason the government won't legalize drugs is because the massive lawsuits they would face in the damages they have caused to people, families, and property. And in case you haven't noticed the government is flat broke. There is no way they are gonna pay us a dime for the shit they have done to us, besides we don't make billion dollar drones that they can use to kill people in the third world.
