What a joke the difference between single cell occupation and solitary confinemet is in solitary confinement theres no human interaction with the jail population the only contact he has is with guards and other jail personell...This just a ploy to get some sort of statement from Manning that Assange some how contacted him and encourged him to leak the video, Hanoi Hilton style ,it looks like old jerk wad McCain would object as a former resident ,serveing solitary in the Hanoi Hilton !...LOL

If Obama doesn't know the illegal invasion and occupation of Iraq cost the lives of 6000 of our soldiers, resulted in the massacre of a million Iraqi civilians and put countless soldiers in danger of retaliatory strikes, he isn't qualified to lead a cow. Wow! Go Hamsher and Ratigan for stating it like it is! Littlefield and others like him, incl. certain factions within the US Govt. and military are scum! Manning blew the whistle on unethical behaviour on an international scale - ordinarily this would be applauded, but because it's the Govt. who've been embarrassed, "Oh no! You can't do that!" FFS!
