What the world needs (poetry)

'What the world needs is a working title, I can't think of anything more fitting at the moment'
We live in a life of luxury and lies,
in which we can't see because we are blind,
The money we earn and the things we buy,
We don't need these things, so why?
Every passing day every wasted hour we spend wishing our lives were longer,
We get what we want everything we lust,
but now you have nothing because you are bus,
our bodies decay with each passing day,
But we just waste it with the games we play,
We never share we only sell,
The way of the world is a wishing well,
As we throw our money away hoping something will become of it,
We fill our minds with lust and greed,
All we think about is what we need,
I am one of the few that think about others,
I help them through all of there troubles,
If I think about you and you think about me,
Then we can give the world what it needs.

I quite enjoy writing poetry and judging from the comments so far you enjoyed this hearing this Lyric poem.
So I will most defiantly be uploading more poetry. Some sonnets, elegy and epic poems. I also have one poem already uploaded on youtube that is full of so many metaphors that most people can't understand it except me.

whats scary is there are so many who should listen to this & take heed of the waste greed and lust in their lives. you definitely capture that sentiment in this poem
