Probably the reason why most people are tired of new Sonic games is because Sonic has the most vicious fan-base, like, EVER. Sonic retro fans and modern fans are at each others neck while Mario fans are okay because he never really changes. I like how Sonic has kind of progressed but some fans like things to stay the same I guess...

Isn't this all more of a matter of opinion? I personally think Sonic is awesome because he just has a lovable personally, but others think differently. Does it matter that Mario sold more games? I get tired of his games because they're all the same to me... I like Mario and I like Sonic better but I'm not going to say that Sonic IS better than Mario.

Mario games are better well known then the new sonics and thats why they sell more.

But everyone knows sonic, heck thats why there's so many fan wars because of the millions of people who have there opinion about him. Judging from polls and how many times the people prefer Sonic as a character over Mario and the fact sonic games have been doing great as of late and how he EVEN made it to Macys parade.Theres so many ads for sonic and his games too, Things will change in time pretty soon ; )

What you just proved was.. Mario GAMES have been better but not all Mario games have defeated Sonic and Sonic adventure was a HUGE! hit, that was his real outing in 3D.

Sonic has been voted to be the better VGC by the people in polls, and even the most Iconic in Britain.

The reason is, Sonic has heart, Sonic has what most video game characters lack, why do you think people stuck through all the bad games? Sonic as a character has stolen more hearts then Mario .
