nmarks - you are so right saying Pat Kane's voice is PURE QUALITY.... Indeed singing along - I just cant help myself doing this intensly, always... Its almost cruel not to have the voice and the power like Pat :) Hail Hue & Cry :)

Fantastically talented duo. Now 39 and first heard at 14. Still listening and moved on musically massively, you should listen to the jazz records the have done - just brilliant.

The lyrics to many of Hue & Cry's songs are unconventional, the product of intelligent minds they are designed to provoke thought and be a fresh take on what pop lyrics can be. This was undoubtedly the real underlying cause of contention with the band's critics.
There is however no disputing the quality of Pat Kane's voice. No other singer's makes me want to sing along so much.
