Police commissioner Mathew Iteere has been asked to streamline the traffic department as a matter of priority. Assistant minister for East African Community Peter Munya says many road accidents occur due to negligence by traffic police. He was speaking during a dinner gala for stakeholders in the road sector in east Africa organized by the national road safety agency.
