I agree with u about the teleserial " Gaaner Oparey". I regularly watch it and screenplay by Rituparno Ghosh is excellent. The old-new gen sanghat is very well depicted. But that doesn't make this rendition worthy of listening. " Pran chai chokhu na chai" ekhane tho chokhu keno sara sarir cheye achhe. Experiment Georgeda theke Piyush kanti Sarkar anek hoyechhe ebong durdanto hoyechhe kintu very essence of the song should be present. RS niye over experimentation er dorkar nei.

This is the show all about...Today's scenario in bengal is like everyone's going on experimenting with rabindrasangeet...and thsi show Ganer Opare on STAR Jalsha raises this debate...whether we should retain rabidrasangeet as it is or should we experiment with such songs..Hence this song ahs been picturized like this...I am enjoying the show like anything...Probably the finest TV show right now on Bengali TV...much above some crap shown on Hindi Television..Classy :)
