Look Good... Feel Better

Look Good... Feel Better helps patients deal with the appearance-related side effects of their cancer treatment and is available in 12 hospitals in Ireland.

It is is run by the Irish Cancer Society in partnership with the cosmetics industry in Ireland.

They hold free skincare and make-up workshops for women in each of the 12 hospitals. The workshops are given by fully qualified beauty consultants who volunteer their time. At the beginning of each workshop, every attendee is given a gift pack filled with 20 different products donated by major companies in the cosmetics industry. The beauty consultants take everyone through a specially designed step by step skincare and make-up regime.

At the end of two hours of learning, fun and laughter ladies say they leave feeling relaxed, refreshed and with a renewed sense of confidence in their appearance. These free-of-charge workshops are non-medical, brand-neutral and do not interfere with the patients' treatment.
