Why the Moon Hoax makes no sense : Part 2

Part 2 of 9 of 'Why the Moon Hoax makes no sense' presented by Peter Barrett of the Canberra Skeptics on Friday, 13 April 2007 at the Visions Theatre, National Museum of Australia, Acton Peninsula.

There are people who believe that NASA faked the Moon Landings on a sound stage in Area 51, or Sudbury in Canada, or somewhere in Australia - and many people find Moon Hoax arguments superficially convincing.

But the logic which is used to support Moon Hoax arguments very quickly becomes self-contradictory. In fact, it requires NASA to be simultaneously brilliant and stupid. And although Moon Hoax supporters muster what appears to be strong technical evidence in support of their arguments, these arguments are surprisingly easy to demolish.

In this talk, Peter will examine a range of Moon Hoax arguments, explain why they make no sense, and discuss why the Moon Hoax matters. (Don't worry, no technical knowledge is required !)

@williamrobinsonb exactly like other have answer the van belt thing is overrule, james van allen have stated like the comment below says, to have got enought radiation to fried the astronaut would have had to be in the direct path of a solar flare and they are rare, and to get in the path you have to be really unlucky cause the space is so vast,

NASA still has an Apollo mission promotions department to keep the pathetic 'Lie' alive. It is a given it was all faked, yet some patriotic morons just can't accept that they had been lied to and that the US government could do such a thing.

In 1970 I talked to one of the tracking dish operators at NASA's Honeysuckle Creek Tracking Station (the first place to receive images) who believed he was following the signals from the moon and moving the dish to get best reception as Earth rotated. When he finished his shift and went outside and looked up, the dish wasn't even pointing at the moon, he had been tracking a communications satellite all along. Global TV coverage was achieved in 1967 & NASA used that system to fool us.
