Thank you GUNNISONDUDE for this personal letter from "The Hi-Fives":
I'm Terri from the Hi-Fives. Yes, this is the same group that performed "My Friend". We have incorporated "Dorothy" and the flip side "Just A Shoulder To Cry On" in our repertoire which were No. 1 and 2 on the charts in 1958. Rich, our bass vocal, is an original member of the Hi-Fives which was formed in 1957. We re-formed the group again in 2005 and have been performing mostly in South Jersey. Please feel free to look through our web site at WWW.THEHIFIVES.COM and contact any of us. We also have our schedule of public places where we will be performing.

  • THIS IS REAL MUSIC WOW!

  • How did I miss this among your downloads! A really great copy - I need to spend another couple of days in youtube!

  • Great Stuff from Jersey Love Dorothy

  • i really like this group. i have dorothy by them from a doo wop disc set

  • Upbeat and happy for my ears! LUV it!!! Many of my 45s were not-for-sale promo copies, so they were THE records that came out before the ones the public could buy (if ever!). We had a local radio station (WOTW) that gladly gave these promo 45s to us when they were done playing them. The fidelity on some seemed better than the official releases! Len-G
