  • I highly suggest any and all Canadians stop seeing the USA as an intimidating behemoth and rather as "Big Brother". I know for a fact that Canadians are among the least discriminated nationalities within the United States, and I also know for a fact that (partly thanks to NATO) that any security breach within Canada will be swiftly responded to by the USA.

  • Seriously I'm sick of my Prime Minister required to repeat everything in French.

  • Obama for Harper lol

  • @Stiletos Edmonton had 47 murders in 2011, a new record over their previous high of 39. You think crime is not an issue, those 47 people might disagree with you, if they were still alive to do so.

  • @Freethinker12341 You say that crime is at an all time low but in reality the drug trade is simply more organized and underground. The biker wars of the 1990's were won by a certain bike gang and they run the drug trade in this country now with little opposition. Jonathan Bacon and those with him in the vehicle in August 2011 were not killed in a freak duck hunting accident.

  • @Freethinker12341 Saying that he does not work with the provinces, compared to how Trudeau "worked" with the provinces, trying to control their economic activities to the point of nearly destroying the economy in the entire of Western Canada? He alienated the entire of the West and created a void that exists between eastern and western Canada that perseveres to this day. His National Engery Program caused an increase in Alberta unemployment from 4% to 10%. Harper has been great so far.

  • @Stiletos He doesn't htink the federal government should work WITH the provinces but rather not communicate with them and then the provincial governments are on their own. So now the provincial governments are having a hard time paying for health care and such. The crime bill is a disgrace also. Spending billions of dollars on prisons and locking people up and hiring tons of cops at a time when the crime rate is at an all time low. It makes no sense.

  • @Stiletos i disagree entirely. there's no comparison between ANY past liberal OR conservative government to what Mr. Harper is doing. He's totally destroyed the country I loved and grew up with. And understand this, I am not a liberal 'loyalist'. I support whatever party I think is making the most sense and what's best for Canada at the present moment. I don't like Harper's secretiveness, his profound anti-democratic authoritarian tendancies. His command and control methods.

  • @Stiletos

Of course !I was speaking merely as a curious student. As a Canadian citizen I'm sure you know more than I do :)

  • @Freethinker12341 The Liberal party, and especially the last few years of Chretien's leadership were a mess. Harper has been a very strong moderate leader who balances both conservative thoughts that lead to a strong economy (we weathered the recent global economic crisis FAR better then anyone else) and he has still managed to be very centered and maintain liberally minded social programs.

Partisans who follow the liberal party blindly love to pretend otherwise in hopes Harper can be ousted.

  • @asphyxiafeeling No, it is not a valuable skill, it is an absolute requirement.

  • @1988scottcarey Forget that, we have the better of the two leaders on that stage by far and we are keeping him tyvm.

  • two terrorists up on stage!

  • We'll Give you Harper for Obama lol

  • @UltraredM Believe me, we feel the same..

  • Americans and Canadians should always have a strong friendship.

  • @Freethinker12341 stfu no he hasn't.

  • Harper has definitely hammered the last nail into the coffin of Canada. This is a brutal attack on Canadian sovereignty. It also destroys the fundamental values of freedom and brings in the FDA into Canada. We are losing our rights and giving power to the North American Union/Globalists. These gentlemen have sold out the human race for the central bankers and Bildaberg. They are already turning away "Nexus" card carriers at the border. Remember ‘free trade’, that was a joke also. What a joke!
