Hi there! I think you´ve seen a video with the ReVox B77 - that´s the follow-up model of A77 and has got a pitch function.

Nice video ! I'm quite interested in buying one, I saw a "squarepusher" video where plays with the speed change or something like a pitch. Does the a77 has something like this ? Because i'm pretty sure that's a revox he use but I don't know exactly which one.

Where do you find those discs behinds the tape hubs? Are they Revox parts or standard equipment. I really would like to find a pair to run bare hubs on my A77-HS.

Hi! Those "discs" are colloquial called "Bobbys" - the official name is "AEG Adapter". It´s probably difficult to get today the adapters and the tape disk with is the basis for the free reel from ReVox. Sometimes you will find it on Ebay... You also could ask your next ReVox dealer for this kind of accessories - maybe you got lucky...

Hey, i'm hoping you can help me!!! I'm looking into purchasing a second-hand A77 and I am interested in this "High-Speed" Version (the manual states there are 3 total versions and each has a different set of dual tape speeds)... How can I tell if i'm looking at a High-Speed Model???? Are the tape speeds displayed on the power switch or is t he version displayed anywhere on the unit or in the manual??? The picture is too small for me to tell. Hope you can help!

Hi there! If you take a look on the official price lists from 1974 and 1978 you will only find two kind of A77 Higspeed. Both have the speeds of 7.5 and 15 ips (= 19cm/s and 38cm/s). Both A77 are also 2-Track recorders. The difference is the equalization. between NAB ad IEC (=CCIR).
Yes - you will find the tape-speed on the power-switch. Revox-products have also an sticker on the backside near the fuse where you will find the type of A77 and the serial number...

With reels of this sort, what keeps the tape from unravelling all over the floor?

Hello! It´s only the tape-tension and the backside-coated tape! You can´t for example use the Quantegy or Maxell tapes cause they are not backside-coated. But in German radiostations nobody used this tapes. They only used BASF (later EMTEC) and AGFA tapes wich make it possible.
