First Steps Nursery Bury provides high quality care and education for children aged 3 months to 5 years in a homely and caring atmosphere. Children are able to learn through play in line with current curriculum guidance and legislation.
First Steps Nursery Bury has a strong partnership with the local Guardian Angels' RC Primary School who provide before and after school facilities and extended pre school facilities.

At First Steps Nursery Bury we strive to be flexible to your needs as a parent and will try to accommodate any specific care requirements your child might have. First Steps Nursery is jointly owned by Nicola and Richard Brooks. Having two little girls ourselves means we understand the demands of working and caring for children. Nicola is a fully qualified teacher specialising in the Early Years and Primary Phase. She has 8 years experience working in the age range and has the expertise and passion for developing babies and young children. Richard has a business background and brings a great deal of enthusiasm and attention to detail. He is committed to the development of the facilities and relationships with parents. At First Steps Nursery we cater for children aged between 3 months and 5 years. We have created a happy, safe and caring atmosphere in which the children can learn through play. We provide a variety of play activities and experiences where children are encouraged to share, discover new interests and abilities, and work towards the Early Learning Goals. Visitors to the nursery include Tiny Toes Ballet, Rhythm Time and a specialised language teacher who visit every week to enhance the children's learning experience. Hours and Contacts We are open 51 weeks of the year with one week off at Christmas. Our core opening times are: 7.00 am -- 6 pm, Monday to Friday 9.00am -- 3pm Saturday We are flexible and accommodating to most hours needed by parents and are looking to open on a Sunday in the future. We are able on most occasions to accommodate shift patterns or weekly rotas. If you are interested in extended hours or flexible child care, please ask us.
