@WeslieJJ94 go to students.autodesk.com. if you are a university student, then use your university email to register and then you can download it for free.

Poor modelling practice, non of your sketches where constrained. You could have used derived dimensioning as another option. When you placed your plane it could have been don't tangent to your outer surface then sketched on your new plane rather than sketching at your default then projecting. just making more work for your self. All of this will come along with time and you will realise it is essential to ensure your models are stable at the starting point.

@rharvey2k1: I have clarified that I am not giving it dimensions (unconstrained sketches) as I am not building the perfect tire. I also agree with you that there might have been some other maybe slightly more graceful ways of accomplishing this task. However, when I was trying to build a tire the first time, the questions that came to my mind as a beginner I feel have been answered well. Once the underlying technique has been known the individual can adopt their own ways of doing it.

How do you change the canvas from a grid to like paper white or blue?

@TheDDDeagle I think you mean how to change the background screen color in Autodesk. If this is what you ask, then you need to go to Tools-> Application Options -> Colors and then you can choose the different colors and patterns you prefer for the background
