More women are choosing to have both breasts removed when cancer has been found in only one breast. Nationally-renowned breast cancer specialist, Sandra Swain, MD, of Washington Hospital Center, explains why this aggressive strategy may be unnecessary. (www.WHCenter.org)
I can't believe this idiot! By all means, let's push toxic drugs off on women to possibly reduce their risk of recurrance but call them crazy if they opt for bilateral mastectomy. Maybe if this woman had to undergo the constant stress of call-back mammograms and biopsies she would feel differently. SURVIVORSHIP DOES NOT EQUAL LIVING!
