GAYNEL HODGE, The Man Behind The Stars

This DVD is a compilation of the show. The viewer is treated to a journey that chronicles Gaynel's life, starting with his early exposure to music. He tells about his musical influences and how he and his friends came to write the mega hit ''Earth Angel''. Gaynel, along, with his brother Alex, also created the world famous Platters. In addition, Gaynel played and sang behind many great artists, such as Jesse Belvin, Johnny ''Guitar'' Watson, Lou Rawls and Aretha Franklin. On this DVD, Gaynel plays and sings many of his own compositions, combined with anecdotes pertaining to songs he wrote. It ends with a tribute to Gaynel's good friend and mentor, Jesse Belvin, who wrote and recorded ''Guess Who'' and ''Goodnight My Love.''

gay nell is nothing more than an IMPOSTER!!! He has tried very hard...on numerous occacions to claim that he wrote Earth Angel...and he's been telling that LIE since my parents(Jesse and JoAnn Belvin) accident . My father wrote Earth Angel alone,yet gay nell has tried his best to get the credit. I've recently learned that gay nell has tried to take the credit for many more compositions...once the original composer is no longer w/ us. Most Sincerely,Jesse Belvin Jr.
